1 Tablet = Education for 1 child

Pragati is always committed to UN SDG's Goal 4 to provide qualityeducation to each and every child in the society. In March, when schools had to shut down, due to Covid19, Pragati seamlessly moved into online schooling for all its 440 students. Using a smartphone , the students connected with our teachers ,and thereby , continued their education. As the lockdown ceased, with the parents off to work, a majority of our students could not attend #onlineschool due to inaccessibility of a smartphone with data in it.

Pragati took a step forward, by giving 30+ tablets and data packs to its senior students and ensured that these children continued with their virtual learning from home with the proper digital support. These tablets have become a gamechanger for these children as they are now not dependent on anyone's gadget.

Using the tablets, the students have completed 75+ hours of online schooling through instructional videos, live lectures and have become very proficient in the use of apps like Google Classroom to upload their assignments. This is just the first stage of our digital journey. We would like to empower more children from the marginalized section of the society with a digital device.Every child has a right to education. No matter, his/her situation! Support us as we overcome each challenge posed by this Corona pandemic. Join us in this journey to provide education to all the children.
